Christine Watson

Christine Watson studied Biochemistry at the University of Glasgow and received her PhD from Imperial College, University of London. She returned to Scotland for postdoctoral positions at the universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh before moving to a faculty position at the University of Cambridge where she is now Professor of Cell and Cancer Biology. Her laboratory studies the mechanisms of cell death during involution of the mammary gland and the regulation of progenitor cell commitment to the alveolar lineage. She is also interested in the role of Stat3 and the microenvironment in tumourigenesis.
