Harvey Smith
Harvey Smith is a post-doctoral fellow at the Goodman Cancer Research Centre, McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in the laboratory of Professor William Muller. Originally from Newfoundland, he obtained a B.A in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK). He later completed his PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research (London, UK), studying Rho family GTPase activation in cancer cells under the supervision of Professor Chris Marshall. At McGill, he has expanded his interest in cell signalling into an in vivo context, using transgenic mouse models and cell biology techniques to study the functions of tyrosine kinases in breast cancer.
